The Glowing Little Bird

A little brown bird hatched with bright glowing feathers. He tucked his head low under his wings.

A dark storm rolled over the green forest, and the shadows grew deep. The other birds huddled on cold branches.

The little bird flew up to the highest pine branch. His bright feathers lit up the dark woods like a lantern.

The flock followed his warm light into a dry hollow tree, sleeping safely together until morning.
